"Maalai Mangum Neram" - Rowthiram

  • Maalai Mangum Neram-3/5
            Singers: Ranina Reddy
            Lyrics: Thamarai
This song impresses the listener during the first hear itself. Ranina’s voice is truly seductive and recalls the songs like Ondrai Irandai in Kaakka Khakka and Vaseegara in Minnale. Prakash Nikki has tried something new by roping in Ranina in place of Bombay Jayashree or Andrea as these kind of songs are generally sung by them. A perfect song, with no errors to identify. Cherry-pick of the album- you would surely go for a rewind press….

  • Prakash Niiki comes out in flying colours in the very first song itself. His smartness lies not just in composing a soothing melody with interesting interludes, but also in picking Ranina Reddy to sing it. A mesmerizing musical attempt is 'Maalai Mangum Neram...,' no doubts. However, don't blame us if you are reminded of Harris Jayaraj.

  • Girl’s amorous feelings expressed for her beau and when you’ve Thamarai penning lyrics for such a track, it’s an undeniable hit. Thamarai has always succeeded in exhibiting the deepest feelings of a woman in some of her previous works that include ‘Vaseegara’ (Minnale) and ‘Ondra Renda’ (Kaakha Kaakha). Moreover the similarity doesn’t end here as newcomer Prakash Nikki’s composition has some close similarities with these songs: crooned in low bass voice and slow-paced beats. Ranina Reddy’s intoning style deserves appreciations.

  • The cherry-pick of this album and it’s sure to rock the town like ‘Ondrai Irandai’ and ‘Vaseegara’. Both the musical score and the crooning style goes the same way. Usually music directors would opt for Bombay Jayashree or Andrea for such numbers and newcomer Prakash Nikki goes for a change selecting Ranina Reddy. It’s a good stroke.
  •  'Maalai Mangum Neram', a subtle melody sung perfectly by Ranina Reddy. This is in fact a mesmerizing track which is likely to impress the listener immediately. This song is likely to be played in all the FM channels for the next few days. Debut music director Prakash Nikki's instrumentations are pretty interesting. And above all Ranina Reddy's voice is truly seductive.

  • Ranina Reddy’s seductive vocals gels with Maalai mangum neram’s sedate tune; it does offer an enchanting combination that impresses almost immediately.

  • Maalai Mangum Neram – is the first song of the album. The song sounds similar to a Bombay Jayasree rendering, but when you look at the singer name we see Ranina Reddy as the singer. The music with the combination of Thamarai's lyrics, naturally reminds us and takes us back to the combination of Bombay Jayasree, Harris Jayaraj and Thamarai songs. Cant help it. But this might be a good melody to the album, by eh debut music composer Prakash Nikki. The opening song infact sounds similar to 'Pudhu Vellai' song from Roja.

Singer - Ranina Reddy ; Lyrics -  Thamarai

  • Fresh and Fantastic. We can call this so. This song is the masterpiece of the newcomer and we have to salute Prakash Nikki for giving out such a track in his first album itself. Whole song have lingering drum beats and the lyrics justifies the tune. The composition is simple with just some additions to the drum beats. The song descries the love of a girl and Ranina has given out very good vocals with feel. The song is sure to top the charts. The romantic flick is so beautiful that this is a great song from a newcomer to the Kolylwood film industry. Best pick of the album. Never leave this one in your love and you will surely repeat the song. This song is going to be loved by all age groups and now the video only matters. Brave work..

"Ola Oola La - Sydney Nagaram" - Orange

  • The song starts with the lyric 'Ooh la' by the singers and then comes a lady rap by Ranina, who has a whacky voice that keeps coming up here and there in the song, well done girl! Male vocalist Karunya sings the song in a slow tune, which is mostly shot in Sydney! The song turns mellifluous whenever the 'I am in Love' verse comes up.

A breezy song with a moderate tempo! Contemporary beats are prevalent throughout the song. Expect the hero to walk or drive on the road while this song's on!
    Good start to the album.

  • Wow! The album starts off on a trendy note with “Ooola Oolaala…..Ala choosthe ne Chaala, Ila naa kallu ninne choosthundala, Chaala lovely ga…..Ilaa repavu gola, Madesilona surfing chesthondeela”. Here Karunya delivers a great performance. And Harris Jayaraj’s ability to mix that light rock feel with Karunya’s vocals is of high quality. The second version vocalized by Ranina Reddy is a good addition to the song and helps build the youthful feel. Karunya’s rendition in the following lines is just awesome.

" Engeyum Kadhal " - Engeyum Kadhal

  • The first song, Engeyum Kadhal is a lovely ballad in which singer Aalap Raju aptly conveys the emotion behind the wonderfully-written lyrics (penned by Thamarai). It’s composed along similar lines as “Nenjukkul Peidhidum” from the film Vaaranam Aayiram, with its breezy melody and simple yet effective beats. Devan and Raina Reddy add an extra dimension to the song with their vocals, creating a song that is a pleasant opener to the album.

" Bhoome Gundranga"- Dhada

  • Bhoome Gundramga  Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramajogayya Sastry, Ranina Reddy Singer: Richard, Ranina Reddy
Devisri starts with a rap number which is targeted at the youth and is sure to make them happy. Singers Richard and Ranina Reddy did wonderful job. Ranina Reddy penned the lyrics by herself for the lines she rendered. The lines sung by Richard were written by Ramajogayya Sastry. It’s a very trendy track with good drum sounds and hand clapping in the middle of the song. As soon as this track began, you all know what is expected from the rest ofthe album. With a funky rhythm to boast, the fun begins the moment Ranina starts crooning. Overall it is an enjoyable number.
